Full Frame Lineups Announced

Join all the MFAEDAers in attending this year’s Full Frame Documentary Film Festival happening April 12-15! See below for announcements of the NEW DOCS and Invited Programs. The full schedule will be released March 22, 2012.

 

The Full Frame Documentary Film Festival has announced fifty-seven selections for the 2012 NEW DOCS program. The titles (forty feature films and seventeen shorts) were selected from over 1,200 submissions from all over the world.

This year’s lineup features seven World Premieres, thirteen North American Premieres, and four U.S. Premieres. Nearly all of the films are screening in North Carolina for the first time. NEW DOCS films are eligible for a variety of prizes, including the Full Frame Audience Award. Winners will be announced at the Awards Barbecue on Sunday, April 15.

In addition, Full Frame has announced sixteen titles as part of its 2012 Invited Program. This section features films screening out of competition. The Invited Program also includes the festival’s Opening Night Film (Jesse Owens) and Center Frame screenings (Photographic Memory, Big Boys Gone Bananas!*, and Love Free or Die), which are premium events that feature moderated panel discussions following the films and take place in Fletcher Hall of the Carolina Theatre.

Tickets will be available to passholders beginning March 23 and will go on sale to the general public at fullframefest.org on April 2. Specific screening times and venues will be announced with the overall schedule on March 22.
