Congrats are due to MFA candidates Marika Borgeson and Malina Chavez, whose work was recently selected for inclusion in A Life, Still at the North Carolina Museum of Art. The NCMA asked college students to submit works for a juried exhibition to coincide with Still-Life Masterpieces: A Visual Feast from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, which opens Sunday October 21, 2012 and runs through January 13, 2013. Malina and Marika are two of twenty-nine artists selected by NCMA curatorial interns, and join a group that includes visual art students from institutions such as the Rhode Island School of Design, the Academy of Fine Arts Bologna (Italy), the Cranbrook Academy of Fine Arts, Parsons New School for Design, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, among others.
