The Duke MFA|EDA is pleased to welcome back Ava Lowrey (’15) as part of DEMAN Weekend (Duke Entertainment Media Arts Network), Nov 3-4, 2018.
Among other DEMAN events, Ava will present a ShopTalk titled “Documenting the American South.” The talk is Friday November 3, 1:00 at the MFA|EDA Carpentry Shop (1509 Campus Drive).
Ava currently serves as the Southern Foodways Alliance’s Pihakis Foodways Documentary Filmmaker at the University of Mississippi where she makes films about the changing American South and teaches documentary film production at the Center for the Study of Southern Culture.
